Metro Pattern & Model Ltd was started in 1980 by Walter Martinek. As a trained Patternmaker he quickly built up a business based on his expertise and experience in the industry. In 1998, after graduating from University, his son, Jeff Martinek assumed control over the business. Jeff Martinek has many years experience working in the business, and beside the certified patternmakers.
Metro Pattern & Model Ltd. currently uses MasterCam software to program our five CNC's. This software allows us file sharing capabilities over the internet. In 2010, Solidworks was purchased to increase our CAD capability. All CAD/CAM design is done at our facility, which enables us to increase our productivity, and maintain a tight control over costs while adhering to confidentiality agreements. We have many years of CAD experience and this is an asset our customers have utilised in the design stage.
In 2002, Metro Pattern & Model Ltd implemented a quality control process that allowed us to become ISO 9000 registered. This demonstrates our commitment to provide a high level of quality, and a competitive price. We have maintained this standard with ongoing, yearly external audits by a recognized body.
